Fuel for excursions to other atolls such as Laamu and Addu Atoll
approx. 130 litre of Diesel per hour to daily rates
Laamu: approx. 14,5 hours one way
Addu Atoll: approx. 7 hours one way

Fuel Surcharge of 30 Euro per day per for every 5 cent increase in diesel price per liter over 1.65 USD.
E.G.
One liter diesel = 1.65 Ð 1.7 Euro => 30 Euro Fuel Surcharge per day.
One liter diesel = 1.7 Ð 1.75 Euro => 60 Euro Fuel Surcharge per day.
One liter diesel = 1.75 Ð 1.8 Euro => 90 Euro Fuel Surcharge per day.
Currently the price for a liter of diesel is at 1.53 USD (at the beginning of August). So if the oil price does not increase there won't be any fuel surcharge at all. Even if the oil price is increasing the Diesel price is not expected to increase over 1.65 USD in Maldives due to powerful fishing lobby. Yet ifthe fuel price increases over 1,65 the guests will need to pay the surcharge once on the Teate after proof of actual diesel cost has been delivered to them by the boat operator.
